There's a new challenge beginning at TOMIC today and the theme is Friendship and Doo-Hickeys. I dont think I ever make a card these days without a Doo-Hickey

Doo-Hickeys I have used are Heart Tag and Fence.

Magnolia Stamps are Tilda with Daisy, Tilda Heart Flowers and Gift From The Heart.

All painted with Distress Inks on 300 gsm Watercolour Paper.

Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts

Paper Maja design.

Its sketch time tonight over at MDUC and I have used Baby Edwin from the New Collection 'Prince and Princesses. Isnt he a cutie.

Painted with Distress Inks

and you know me I always have to sneak a little Ideaology in there!! Yeah the nappy pin!

and a tag which is made using Maganolia Doo Hickey 'So Wrapped Swirl.'

I stamped with Baby feet using a Heroarts stamp.

Other Doo Hickeys used were Star Tag and flag

Today to share is a New Tilda who arrived yesterday. It must be the quickest card I have ever made, but she's such a cutie.

She is from the New Collection 'Prince and Princesses'.

Im not sure of her name but Im sure she will be called 'Stamping Tilda'. The table is also Magnolia from an older collection.

I hope you are all having a beautiful Sunday.

I very nearly forgot to post this on my Magnolia Blog today! I made a promise to myself not to turn on my laptop and instead have a gorgeous walk with my family and we've had a lovely time in the Yorkshire Dales. :D

There's another challenge over at MDUC beginning and this week it's 'One Word Sentiments'. For my DT project I decorated something my daughter Sophie bought me for Christmas with three gorgeous Magnolia stamps from The Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012. I have just loved this collection :)

The stamps Ive used are Cuddly Siblings, Rose Scent Tilda and Tilda Sending Love Letter. All painted with Distress Inks.

The girls have made some AMAZING projects. Go over and have a look.

Hope you are all well. We had a flurry of snow this weekend, but sadly it is now beginning to disappear. It did look nice at the time, but not so nice when it turns all slushy x

Flying the Flag

Hiya All

There's another challenge over at MDUC and we want you to use the colours of your National Flag!

For a change Ive coloured on KRAFT with Distress Inks. Wasnt sure how it would turn out, but kept at it!! Im sure I used a lot more ink than usual.

Ive used 'Tilda Loves Flowers' from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. I'm nearly there now. I think ive a couple more to ink up and will need moreeeee!!! HEE HEE

It was quite hard to get a good picture today and especially with the Kraft it was darker than normal. Instead of darkening the background like I usually do, I used a white Prismacolour pencil and highlighted it for a change!

I even had some Union Jack Ribbon in my stash which I had forgotton about. I knew it would come in one day. Sentiment is Whimsy postage stamps.

Cuddles.....

Morning!!!

Yay!! its Friday and what have I been doing this morning???Yeah you guessed it...finishing this card!!

I started painting the image last night. I was asked in an email how long it takes to make a card. Well its actually painting the image that takes the time. It can take 2-3 hours just to watercolour. This one took a little longer as there's two of them! So all in all I daren't time myself! But anythings better than just sat watching TV!

The Magnolia is another New one from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection called 'Cuddly Siblings' Awh it just reminds me of my two (though they dont cuddle now they are 15 and 12!!!They wont even sit near each other!!)eyes roll...

The paper is the NEW one from Pion Design called 'From The Heart ll' and arrived at mine on Wednesday. I must say I feel so guilty cutting into it,it's so gorgeous.

For the tag I used Magnolias Heart Tag

Image was watercolured with DI's on 300gsm Watercolour Paper

Today to share is a card I made for someone who made me Very happy!!! ;)wink wink!!!

Ive used Tilda with wrapped Heart from the New Sweet Love Collection and painted with Distress Inks. Papers are also Magnolia-Mini Cloudy Blue.

Once again Ive used the my new Tim Holtz On The Edge Butterfly Die.

Ive stained my white rosette ribbon with stormy Sky Distress Stain and used lots of Diamond stickles which is difficult to see.

For my card Ive used two NEW images from the Sweet Love Collection 'Rose Scent Tilda' and 'Welcome to a Lovely Home'

Papers are also Magnolia.

Stamps are Whimsy Postage stamps.

Spring Cleaning

Morning!!

Well Ive been MIA from blogging this week as Ive been having a good ole Spring Clean!! The kids went back to school on Monday,so Ive been trying to get back to normal. I think Im just about there.

Its another gorgeous morning here in the UK today! I love the cold and frosty mornings when the sky is blue!

For my card I have used a New Magnolia from the new Crazy Love Collection-'Tilda with Peony Tails' and also their New Paper 'Paris Red Peony' and 'Eau De Cologne' ! Gorgeous Gorgeous!!

I have also sneaked a new Sizzix Die on there and Im sure it will be a popular one. :)

Spellbinders used were circles and Label 22. Keep em coming!!!

Flower is by Prima and LOTS of white paint(hence the white fingers!!!)

I managed to have a little play the other day with the gorgeous new Magnolia Collection 'Sweet Crazy Love' another fab Collection!! Ive used Wild Tilda. Love her!

Ive used Pion Designer Paper.

I also used this new Tag Doo-Hickey Die, 'So Wrapped Swirl' also from Magnolia,which was part of my Christmas present from them:) Ive actually cut it in half here as it has so many uses. It will be great as a bag topper!

Tomic Challenge 29 -Snowflakes Symphony in Purple

Hiya

Yesterday was a NEW Challenge over at TOMIC and at the very last minute I realised it was my turn to play. I spent all Sunday making this for someone as a thankyou gift. I really hope she likes it!

The challenge is Snowflakes and Purple. I know my Magnolia image isn't really a Christmas stamp but I was determined to use her as I just think she is gorgeous. She is called 'Tilda sending Love Letter' and will be available very soon. Those who have their clubkits will have her already.

I have made a candle book using the gorgeous Christmas Magnolia Papers. I even managed to find snowflake Tealights!

For the snowflakes I used Tim's on the edge Snowflake Flurries and Snowflake die and covered in Snowtex.

Again my rolled pine cones in Purple and as always Tilda is painted with DI's on 300gsm Watercoloured Paper.

MDUC Challenge-Pink,White and Gold

Hi Again

Its Challenge time again over at MDUC and this week we want to see Red, Cream and Gold on your projects.

Ive used 'Something for you Tilda' from The Sweet Christmas DreamsCollection 2011.

Ive painted her with Distress Inks and added some Gold embossed snowflakes in the background.

Papers are Pion design.

The Cones I have rolled again and inked with Distress Ink Walnut ink.The snowflake border was diecut using Tim's On the edge Snowflakes. The edges have also been embossed with gold.

Hope you are all having a fab week and enjoying your Christmas preparations! Hectic as it may be!!! I know I am...hectic that is. Ive so neglected my blog this week......but I promise I have made a few things which I will be showing over the next few days

Todays is a Christmas Gift Bag using one of the new Magnolia Stamps which is from the new Collection. Valentino (I think).

Ive just had a glimpse of the NEW stamps too and WOW they just get better and better.

Hope you are well on this cold, wet n windy evening.!!!!Todays card is a Christmas card I made for a friend of mine. I havent had much time this year to make cards to send to everyone, apart from this one.Saying that I havent even written any yet!!!

Here Ive used 'Jolly Tilda with a handful of presents' from the 'So Jolly' Collection 2009 and Magnolia 'Old Window. Ive painted with Distress Re-Inkers.

Here is the tag inside the top of the card which was stamped with magnolia 'From Our family to Yours'

Papers are Magnolia 6''x6'' Magnolia' Mini Sweet flurry Green'

Snowflakes are Tim' Movers and Shapers- Mini Snowflakes.

MDUC Challenge 125-Make an Ornament

Hellllooooooooooooooooo

Yay!! Another Challenge is beginning over at MDUC this week and we want you to make an Christmas Ornament.

Well I had lots of fun making this Wreath. Everything was handmade apart from the polystyrene ring.

I started by covering the ring with White Organza Ribbon and made lots of Pink Pointsettias from Magnolia Doo-Hickey Pointsettia(LOTS!!)

The Holly I made using Tim's Sizzix Die Holly and covered in Snowtex and Walnut Distress ink.

Tilda i used was 'Tilda With Cross Stitched Heart' painted with DI's.

Ive added a little sparkle , but being me I'm more of a rustic kinda gal than a glitter gal!

Hello There
Today to share is a card using the gorgeous 'Tilda with Winter flowers'.

Ive painted her with DI's. Ive used a real mixture of papers on this one, from Magnolia, Pion Design and Maja Design.

Around Tilda I have used Snowtex to give it the winter look.

Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid. The lace and Ribbon is from the fantastic Ribbon Girls and WOW what a fab selection they have.

The tag I have stamped with Magnolia Christmas Text and embossed with white embossing powder.

Dies I have used are Tim's On the edge snowflakes and the Holly is off the Festive Greenary strip.

Dont forget I still have this gorgeous SPECIAL EDITION Magnolia up for grabs

Its a cold, damp old morning in the UK today!

No snow as yet but I keep hearing it will be here soon!!

Todays card is one I made a while back for a friend.

I used Winter Tilda and the gorgeous Maja Design Papers. Lots and lots of SnowTEX and Distress Walnut Ink. For the snowflakes I used Tim's die Snowflakes.

The Pointsettia was made with Magnolia Doo-hickeys and Mistletoe.

Hiya

Just a quickie today to show a card I was commisioned to make for one of my oldest school friend's daughter.

I used Magnolia 'Romantic Window' and 'Tilda with Ponytail'.

I used the window stamp because they live in France and it reminds me of a French Chateau with the shutters. It has to be one of my favourite stamps.

I also used a Eiffel Tower Charm

I watercoloured with Distress Inks.

Doo hickeys I used were Bloomy Tag, flag and Peony.

There's a new challenge over at DOC this fortnight and the challenge is Vintage.Yay! one of my faves!

Ive used Tilda with Crosstiched Heart from the new Sweet Christmas Collection . Ive painted her with DI's but again Ive tried the NO BLACK lines look. Ive got to say it takes alot longer than normal to paint, as there is a lot more shading involved. But it definately gives her a much softer look than normal and is great for the Vintage look.

The only black is her eyes.

Paper are Pion design Christmas and again Ive used Tim's new die Holly. For the berries ive used old rusty bells from my stash!

There's a new challenge over at MDUC this week and we want you to add Charms and Bling to your cards.

Ive used a gorgeous NEW Tilda called 'Raining Hearts Tilda'. She is an unlimited Edition Tilda and is only available at Creashop Duymelot in Holland. She's gorgeous!

Im still here!!Just!... Ive been hiding away recently working on the next Magnolia Ink Issue and the new gorgeous new Christmas Dream stamps have been shouting out at me!...and well I couldnt ignore them any longer and gave in!!!LOL

I thought I would paint Edwin for a change delivering presents on Christmas Eve. Isnt he gorgeous. Ive painted him with Distress re-inkers.

Other items used are Sizzix die Clock and Holly. For the holly I used Tim's Kraft Core Distress pad.

A new Challenge has just begun at MDUC this week and we want you to Get Punchy!!

Ive used a gorgeous new Tilda from the new Christmas Dreams Collection

called 'Winter Tilda' and I think she's just gorgeous . Die cuts Ive used are Sizzix Die Snowflake and Christmas Tree.

Ive painted her with Distress Inks on 300gsm Watercolour paper.

Papers are Maja Design 'Old Fashioned Christmas'. Ive used lots of Snowflex and Crackle Paint-Picket Fence

Snowflakes are from Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams 'Sweet Snowflakes'

The tag is made using Doo-Hickey Die -Scalloped tag

Morning

I hope you are all having a good week. Ive had a quite a hectic weekend and managed to get no crafting done at all! So now hopefully over the next couple of days I can be let loose in my craftroom!! Yay!!

I did however manage to paint this gorgeous new stamp I received as a lovely surprise from my sweet friend Camilla on Thursday!! She really did make my day, as my Autumn kit of the new Magnolia stamps were missing in the post and I kept seeing the gorgeous new images all over blogland!!! BOO HOOOO!!!

So I immediately inked her up!!! She is called 'Tilda with Snowheart' and you know me and hearts!!! I painted her with Distress Ink Dusty Concorde.

Then on Saturday the gorgeous new Christmas Magnolia papers arrived!!! WOW!!! I love these too.

So finally, last night I managed to finish my card.

Here's a close up of the Poinsettia I made using Doo-Hickey die Poinsettia and then Sprinkling with Twinklets Diamond dust.

I know Ive gone mad with the die cuts again!!LOL . I dont think I could survive a day without my Cuttlebug!

Ive used Tilda as a scarecrow on a tag card. Ive painted her with Distress Ink Walnut stain. For the leaves I have used my alteration die Autumn Gatherings mainly in coffee and cream colours

The 'Le Jardin Pansy' is a Whimsy stamp from 'Vintage Seed packet Set'!

Hope you have all had a fab weekend. There's a new challenge beginning over at TOMIC today and we are wanting you to use a sitting Tilda or Edwin and at least one Doo-Hickey

I think I managed to squeeze four Doo- Hickeys in!!!LOL

Ive used Tilda with Ponytail from the Sweet Rainbow Collection and the Romantic Window from the So Sweet Collection. All have been watercolured with Distress inks on 300 gsm Watercolur Paper. All papers used are Magnolia.

Ive gone mad with the Doo-Hickeys but I just love using them.

The ones I used are Scalloped Tag

OOOOOooo Its a Halloween Challenge over at MDUC and this week we are sponsered by Stampland where they are offering a $20 voucher!
Like I said before I dont own any Magnolia Halloween stamps and this was the second Halloween Challenge Ive had to do. So at last Ive inked up Super Hero Edwin , but made him into MR Evil!!!

I painted him with Distress Inks on 300gsm Watercolor paper. Colours were Black Soot and Dusty Concord. All papers used are by Magnolia

Its a Halloween Challenge over At TOMIC today and we want you to create 'Anything BUT a Card!' Also this week we are celebrating Magnolias Birthday. Happy Birthday Magnolia. The DT have done some fabulous creations !

Ive decorated another gift bag using the gorgeous Graphic 45 papers 'Wizard of Oz'. The Tilda I have used is from the 'So Sweet Collection 2011' , Tilda with small gift (Ive cut off the gift)!!! as I dont actually have ANY halloween Magnolias and added a witches hat using the Graphic 45 papers.

For the Pumpkin I used the Magnolia Flag Dies for the eyes, then reused them at the top as flags with the words BOO!

For the leaves on top of the pumpkin I've used Doo-hickey Rose leaf

Theres a new Challenge over at MDUC this week and as it's Breast Cancer awareness month, we want you to use Pink,White and Gold on your creations.

Ive made another Christmas card for my collection.

Ive used 'Christmas Tilda with Vintage Roses' and painted her with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The background I have used 'Merry Christmas Text' stamp from Magnolia and used Gold Leafing (I'll be back with a tutorial in the week for this). All the edges have been embossed with gold embossing powder.

and lots of Snowtex.

It's Birthday time over ar Deep Ocean this fortnight and all we want you to do is include Happy Birthday somewhere on your card!

The challenge worked out perfect for me as I had a Birthday card to make for my gorgeous niece who is 13 this week!! 'Terrible Teens!!'

Ive coloured Tilda with DI's, slightly darker than normal to give a Autumnal look. Papers are Maja Design.

Fot the flowers Ive rolled my own flower and added pine cones which I picked up from the gorgeous Bolton Abbey and added the leaves using Tim's Alteration Die 'Autum Gatherings' and a few sprigs!!!

Magnolia Doo-Hickeys I have used are Vintage Lace, bunting flags and scalloped tag.

Fancy Folds at MDUC

Its Fancy Folds this week over at MDUC and WOW the DT have blown me away once again. Go over and take a look, as there's a great prize up for grabs too.

Again I did a Magic Card. The tutorial is HERE. I just love making these cards. For the snowflake edges I used Tim's On the edge Sizzix Die Snowflake and added lots of Snowtex for texture.

Ive used 'Tilda with Glittering Halo' and 'Snowy Snowflake Circle' from the 'Jolly Snowy Collection 2009' painted with DI's on 300gsm Watercolour paper.

For the tag I used a Catslife press stamp 'Winter'

Loving the cozy night s by the fire!!!! Perfick!!

At last I can sit down with a cuppa!! What a morning!!... but a good one...

Anyway back to the card! I'm trying to make a christmas card a week at the moment, to make things a little easier nearer the time!! Oh at least thats the plan!!!LOL

For my card I have used a NEW Tilda from the 'Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection' available soon. She's such a sweetie. I know I 'm going to love this collection. Ive painted her with DI's and used lots of Snow Tex around the edges.

Tilda Blowing Bubbles

Hiya

Hope you have all had a great week. I certainly have had a different one, but a very enjoyable one too,as I have started my new job this week! So lots of changes in store :)

I started this card last weekend and only had time to finish it this afternoon. I dont know what has happened to my mojo this week! But it had certainly disappeared!

At last this afternoon I felt like a play in my craftroom to finish my challenge card for MDUC. This week the challenge is photo inspiration and is sponsered by Tilda's Town. Go across and have a look at the rest of the DT'S card. As always they are stunning :)

Ive used Tilda blowing bubbles and painted her with DI's on 300 gsm Watercolour paper.

Again I used my Sizzix Die 'Clock'! (love this), and rolled my own flowers and finished off painting them with 'Picket Fence 'Crackle paint.

Designer Papers are by Pion.

I also used Doo Hickeys Peony and Scalloped Tag.

To share today is another weather inspired project. The weather here in the Uk is certainly turning autumnal, but the colours are stunning. The trees are just beginning to turn colour.

For a change Ive decorated a gift bag. Ive given it an Autumnal look using Basic Grey papers and Tim Alteration die 'Autumn Leaves' and Bird cage.

Ive painted 'Tilda with Ponytail' with distress inks Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain.

Rain! Rain! go away!!!

Evening All... or Morning to you lovely down under girlies! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

This weeks Challenge over on MDUC is Karen's sketch and a fab one too. Thankyou Karen.

Its been raining so much here in the UK this week, that's its the only inspiration I could come up with!!!LOL. But I do love this Tilda-'Tilda in the summer rain'. Its also a card for a friend who's been a little under the weather recently!!

I painted with DI'S, but tried to do the 'no lines look'!! but I havent a light enough dye ink pad yet, so used what I had which was Archival Coffee. Though it is definately much softer than normal.

For the flags I used the new Doo-Hickey Die 'Flag and Clouds' and the lettering used Tim's alterations die Typeset. For the shabby rose ribbon, I stained With Distress Victorian Velvet. I'm in love with this stuff!!

Again I did the same with the flowers and painted over with white paint!

And to finish I decorated the back too using Doo Hickeys Vintage Tag and Hearts. All papers are Magnolia.

Tomic Challenge No 14-Background

Morning!!!!

It's a very wet day here in the UK!! My children have gone back to school today and boy it seems quiet!!! Im having a good tidy round and it's actually staying tidy!!!!LOL..Until 3.30pm that is.

Ive had a busy week this week as we (the magnolia DT) have been busy making our projects for the Christmas issue of Magnolia Ink. So while I was in the Christmas mood ,I thought I would make this Christmas tag for this weeks TOMIC challenge.

The Challenge this week is to create your own background paper.

To make my background I used Alcohol Inks Pink Sherbert, Pearl and Gold. I then stamp with Magnolia stamps and embossed with white embossing powder.

Ive used Tilda with Butterfly Jeans. Coloured her with DI's on 300gsm Watercolour paper.

Other stamps used were

Snowy Snowflake Circle, Holly Postmark and Snowflakes.

Did you know it's only 15 weeks 6 days until Christmas!!!!! YIKES

I think now I will make a Christmas a week, just so Im organised!!!

Evening All

Well Im back from my 2 week Holiday all relaxed etc and pleased to say all my scheduled posts worked!!!So I bet I wasn't even missed!!LOL

I did manage to sneak in occasionally though for a peek!! Can I live live without WIFI!! No way!! Even though eyes rolled within my family occasionally !!!ha ha .Though it did take ages to load!!

Tonight is a new challenge over at MDUC and this weeks challenge is Texture ie embossing,corrugated card etc.

For my card I have used Beautiful Tilda from the 'Butterfly Dreams Collection' . I have used Tim's tag die,Bird cage and Butterfly dies on corrugated card and added lots of paint for texture and used the gorgeous Maja Design paper. Tilda I have painted with DI's.

The swirl is made using Swirl Doo Hickey Die .

Also before I go have you bought your copy of Magnolia Ink Chocolate Dreams?

I received my copy this week and havent put it down since xxxx :)

I looked through my collection of Magnolias to see what stood out at me and what better than a song from ABBA and 'King Tilda. But in my case a queen!!!Of course Swedish too!!

Deep Ocean Challenge-Sea

Morning

Todays card is for Deep Ocean Challenge which is SEA.

It was a perfect time to use my MAJA Design Papers 'Life by the sea' Though it nearly killed me just cutting into them!!! They are gorgeous.

Both Magnolia stamps are from the Bon Voyage Collection 2010. 'Dangling Sea Tilda' and 'Sea background through Porthole'

For the waves I used Tim's Sizzix die 'Scrollwork'and painted the edges with white paint. The flags are from a Doo-Hickey die 'clouds and flag' which Im loving at the moment. You'll be seeing flags on everything!!

Good Morning

Its BINGO time over at MDUC this week!!! Yay a favourite of mine!!!

Ive used Scarecrow Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow Collection. Ive made the centre step card that the gorgeous Monique had done a step by step in the easter Edition of Magnolia Ink.

Ive painted with distress Inks on 300gsm Watercoloured paper.

For the flower I used Doohickey Peony and for the centre I rolled a flower and added gems.

The bottle is one of the Vials from Idea-ology and the gorgeous Fishing Edwin who I have painted with DI'S.

After seeing my gorgeous friend Camilla's pics of her recent visit to Magnolia Sweden,where she met the beautiful Camilla H and Lillemor it got me thinking and wishing!!!....One day I will go there and meet everyone!

I was thinking of me ME shopping in the Magnolia shop in Sweden and Mark(the one and only)!!LOL, waiting ever so patiently outside in my DREAM car!!!LOL...and boy would I make him wait!!!!LOL

Do you like my Alloys??? (Again when I asked him he said 'UGH they look like winter Tyres!!!' Well dearest we are in Sweden in WINTER!!!! LOL ) .......Men!!!ugh lol

It's TOMIC Challenge Number5!!! already and WOW we have been blown away by your entries!

Todays Challenge is Easel Cards. An old favourite of mine.

I have used a NEW Tilda from the newest Stampclub kit,to be released very soon. I think she will be called Astronaut Tilda. The rocket and moon are also from this kit.

I tried to make it look as much like space as I could. I had an old Christmas card which had fibre optic lights in, so I carefully dismantled it and put them in this card. Believe me I had to make pin sized holes!!! The lights are tiny! Click the short video below to see!!

I tried to add Frank Sinatra's 'Fly me to the moon' too but couldnt find a free download!!LOL

Papers are Magnolia and I have used Doo-Hickey Swirl.

For my card I have used Peony Tilda. I must admit I havent inked her up for ages and she is one the first ones I bought, and always a pleasure to dig her out again.

Hiya

Its another Challenge over at MDUC this week and the challenge this week is 'Kristys Sketch'

Well I just LURVE sketches, cos it saves me all the umMing and arrrrRing, checking if I think Ive done it right!!LOL

Instead of a card I have used Tim's Sizzix die 'Tag' for a change. Ive used Strawberry Yummy Tilda from The Sweet Rainbow Collection. Papers are all Magnolia. For the fence Ive used Tim's Sizzix die 'Fence.' Ive painted with Distress Inks on 300gsm Watercolured Paper.

The flowers Ive tried to make look like a strawberry plant and the green string is Garden Twine!

I made a separate piece for the belt and instead of attaching to the Napkin card, it just slides off.

Just a quickie tonight to share a card Ive just finished.

My stampclub kit arrived yesterday and I'm always itching to play. I'm never sure about them at first, until I paint them and see them come alive. I also never know which to colour first, so I let Sophie choose!! A bit obvious when she's a cheerleader!!!LOL

Ive painted Tilda with Distress inks on 300gsm Watercolour paper. All papers are by Magnolia.

Tomic Challenge NO 3- Summer

Happy Monday to you all.

I'm afraid there's lots of photos to this post!!LOL

There's another challenge over on the TOMIC Challenge blog and this week the challenge is Summer. Again it's not my week to join in really, but seeing as the weather in the UK yesterday was NOT so Summerish, I set too and made this Hanger and had a fab time!!! I got lost in my own little world!!! ha ha

I did originally start painting this Edwin the other day as a Father's day card for my hubby, but didnt quite finish it!! So here he is. I was going to give it to my hubby for his fishing area (The Shed!!!LOL) but I have decided to keep it for my craft room!! Everything I used is from my scrap tray.

I have painted with Distress Re-Inkers on 300gsm Watercolour Paper. For the fence I have used Tim's On the Edge Die-Fence which I have Gessoed and distressed with Walnut Ink.

The butterfly I have made from a coke can and cut out using Tim's Butterfly die. Ive coloured with alcohol Inks and painted with gesso.

If you look carefully Ive even pinched one of his flies!!! It had to be a blue one (I dont think he will miss it!!!hee hee)

Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The bottle is from the Idea-ology range 'Corked Vials' which I have put a fish button in!!

These Challenges sure do come round quick don't they!!! Ive been up to my eyes recently with the next issue of the Autumn issue of Magnolia Ink, that ive neglected blogland. Anyhow, that is all finished now and posted off to Sweden, so I can now have a catch up!

This weeks Challenge over at MDUC is Transparancy /Acetate.

This time I havent made a card but a transparent gift bag. Ive also added transparent flowers,though they are difficult to see.

Ive used Hawiian Tilda and painted her with Distress reinkers on 300 gsm Watercolour Paper.

WOW! this week has flown and WOW! again to over 200 entries to the TOMIC debut!! and ALL sooooooo stunning

This weeks Challenge is Pink,White and Brown. This colour combo has got to be one of my faves and it really isnt my week to join in but how can I resist!!!

Papers are all by Magnolia 6x6. Tilda is 'Ribbon Tilda' from the Christmas 2010 Collection and such a versatile one.

Doo-Hickeys Ive used are the NEW tag and heart border and Butterfly.

Hiya

I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

Todays card is my last as GDT for Basic Grey. Can I just say a big thankyou as it has been an honour and a good excuse to buy some more yummy Basic Grey Papers.

Im such a burke though! When Jo sent me details of what the challenges were, I misread the email. She said the challenges were Shabby Chic,Hot pink and green with Kraft!!! I did it all in one card on the first week!!LOL!! One week was shabby and the other Hot Pink and green!!!Oh dear! So both times I used the Sweet Thread Papers.

Ive used 'Sweetie Tilda' from the new Rainbow Collection and 'The Root Cellar Door' also from this collection. Ive painted with Distress Re-inkers on 300gsm watercolour paper.

For the flower ive used Doo-Hickey Peony on Kraft and the centre a rolled flower.

Ive also used Tim's Sizzix 'Clock Die', cheesecloth and lots of white paint.

Today Ive a card I made for the Magnolia shop a while back. It's unusual for me to have the background as plain as this as I normally paint my backgrounds. This time I wanted the couch to look this way and all the colour to be on Tilda. Ive painted her with Distress Re-inkers on 300GSM Watercolour Paper. Flowers I have rolled myself. Tilda is Ribbon Tilda from the So Sweet Collection. The posh couch is also from this collection. The border is with a Doo- Hickey Border.

Oh No Its Raining Again!!!

Its another Challenge at MDUC this week and it s a Sketch by Kylie. Dont ya just love a sketch.

Yes the title says it all. Rainy old England.!! It's actually more like April Showers at the moment.Where has the sunny weather gone??? I always did wonder why there wasnt a Tilda for the UK in the Bon Voyage Collection,but I think the one with the brollies are probably them!!!LOL This is 'Tilda in the Summer Rain!' from the new Rainbow Collection.

Ive painted her with Distress Inks 'Weathered Wood'. Ive used Tims Clock Die in the background and distressed with walnut stain. Papers are all Magnolia. the nesties Ive used are Labels 18.

For the flower Ive used the NEW Doo-Hickey Die Heart Swirl Die and Peony. the center is a rolled flower.

Its all a bit Shabby at Basic Grey!!!

Morning

I was kindly asked the other week to be GDT for Basic Grey Challenge Blog this month. Thankyou girlies ,I'm honoured to be. Well of course it meant buying another pack of Basic Grey papers!!!hee hee

The Challenge is Shabby Chic in Hot pink and Green. Well I LOVE shabby (even though my hubby said he didnt like my card!!!:(!! ) he just doesnt understand 'SHABBY'!!! LOL

My papers are of course Basic Grey ' Sweet Threads'. I painted Tilda on KRAFT!!! Yes and it worked. I didnt think it would as I havent seen Distress Inks on Kraft before and I thought it would of been a disaster!! I then slapped on Rock candy and Glossy Accents and got a little carried away.!! Ive also used a little cheese cloth on there, which is great for the shabby look.

Have a fab weekend and I'll be back again later today with another card not quite as shabby!

Well I couldnt resist having a play when this new little Tilda popped through my door yesterday with some of the new papers! This is 'Wonderful Tilda' from the New Rainbow Collection.

I really shouldn't off as I have a list of things I should be doing!! But I just HAD to!!lol

I used Tim's Clock Die. The papers are all by Magnolia.

Yay! Its a Christmas Challenge over on MDUC and I LOVE Christmas. So it was great to dig out my old stamps.

I love making Christmas cards, though it did feel a little strange doing it this time of year,when it's just beginning to warm up here in the UK!!LOL

Ive used Gingerbread Tilda and the tree is called Smooth Winter Fir,all by Magnolia. Papers are Pion Design. Ive painted Tilda with Distress Inks Weathered Wood.

Well As promised I have managed to get my card finished. Another Tilda I LOVE. Funny I didnt think I would but as soon as she is coloured she comes to life. Ive painted with Distress Inks on 300gsm Watercolour Paper.

At last my new Doo-dickey arrived 'Swirly Butterfly' but ive also added a spinner from Tim's Ideaology range.

Papers I have used are from the Butterfly Dreams Collection and a little Pion Design too.Sentiment is a Whimsy stamp from the Mini Postage Collection.

Under The Sea....Under the sea..

At last blogger is working again. I think the whole crafting world has been tearing their hair out for the last 24 hours!!!!

I had just prepared this post last night and WHAM! it just disappeared.

Ive been wanting to make one of these cards for a while now, but never found a tutorial for it, until one of my blogging buddies pointed me in the right direction. Thankyou KYLIE :D. You can find the tutorial HERE. This is my take on a Magic Card!

Ive used Mermaid Tilda. I have painted her with Distress Inks Stormy Sky and Black Soot. For the sides I have used Tim's On The Edge Die Scrollwork as it reminds me of waves.

The flowers I have rolled myself and painted with Crackle Paint Picket Fence.

Papers are Pion Design and I have used Nestabilities Labels 18 which are my faves at the moment.

Hope you have had a good week.

Today's card is made for this weeks Challenge over on MDUC. The challenge is to use KRAFT on your card and Ive gone a bit mad with it!!hee hee

Ive used the gorgeous Maja Design Papers 'Fika' from Sweden.

Tilda is 'Sneaky Tilda' from the 2010 Christmas Collection. But one which can be used all year round.

Ive painted her with Distress Inks on 300gsm hotpressed extra smooth Watercolour paper. Ive tried all sorts but this seems to be the best for me. Colours I have used are Dusty Concorde and Stormy Sky.

The large flower is a Prima flower which I have painted with Distress paint 'Picket Fence' The flowers using KRAFT I have rolled myself.

The sentiment is a Whimsy Stamp.

I have also used Magnolia Doo-Hickey-Lace Border.

Just Because

Hiya

Just a quickie post tonight to share a card I have made for my friends Mum, who had organised a fabulous Garden Party on Saturday to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Wasn't the wedding just beautiful. I was hooked from beginning to end. It was just like a fairytale. My friends Mum Annie, had hung wedding dresses all around the garden from the past,such a lovely touch.

I was going to put Tilda as a bride on, but then realised I didnt have one!!!!So Ive used Tilda with big ribbon! Papers are a mixture of Pion and Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle'. Ive used Whimsy 'Vintage Postcard' and mini stamps. The flowers Ive rolled myself.

Ive painted Tilda with Distress Inks Weathered Wood.

This was my daughter and her friend at the end of the day, with the dresses on!!!! OMG her dad nearly had a fit!!! hee hee

Today to share I have used Beautiful Tilda once again. She is so lovely I think. Ive painted her with distress inks on 300 gsm Watercolour Paper.

Her hair is Walnut Stain and her dress is Spun Sugar and Ive shaded with lots of Black Soot.

The sentiment is from a Whimsy stamp Collection Mini Postage stamps.

I have also used fabric or 'Shim' behind Tilda. Papers are Magnolia with a little Pion Design in there too :)

The Butterfly is Tim's Movers and Shapers Die -Mini Butterflies accompanied by an Ideaology Pen Nib!

Hiya

Well It's felt like Ive lived in the Med here in the Uk this week. The weather has been glorious!

Today Ive a card to share using Swedish papers 'Pion Design'. So gorgeous

Ive used Tilda with Hawaiian Flower and painted her with distress inks on 300gsm Hotpressed Water colour Paper. Ive used Distress inks Weathered wood,walnut Sain, Vintage Photo and Tattered Rose

The pic above I took on a full sheet of the 'Pion Design'. This one is Studio of Memories-Fotoram and is also the one I used to make the card. The butterflies are from the same collection and is called 'Klippark'.

Ive used my nesties for the main image. For the doily I used a die called 'English Tea Party'

The flowers I used Magnolia Doo Hickey Die-Poinsettia and the lace was Vintage lace also by Magnolia.

Ive also added LOTS of white Crackle paint which I cant get enough of!!!
